Safety when handling work equipment
Operating instructions describe safe handling of work equipment, hazardous substances, and work procedures. They support your employees in performing tasks safely and avoiding operational risks.
You are legally required in many areas and at the same time form an important basis for the instruction of your employees.
This includes, for example, operating instructions for:
- Machinery and technical equipment
- Hazardous materials, as well as cleaning and disinfecting agents
- Working methods and activities
- Personal protective equipment
For many cleaning and disinfection agents, you can request suitable operating instructions free of charge from your manufacturer or supplier.
Instruct employees safely
Instructions help to prevent accidents, reduce health hazards, and sustainably strengthen safety awareness in the workplace.
As an employer, you are obligated to provide your employees with adequate and appropriate instruction during working hours. Instruction must take place at least once a year, as well as on special occasions – for example, upon hiring, when introducing new work equipment, or when job duties change.
Instructions must be adapted to the hazards in the workplace and – if necessary – repeated between annual instructions.
